What are PETTATS?

Small tattoos containing a special code for your pets identification. Tattoos can be placed directly on animal skin where the fur is scarce so it is easy to see. Temporary PETTATS can be warn on animal fur too. Temporary PETTATS are (transfer ID tattoos). Permanent PETTAT applications are optional. PETTATS are accurate, readable, and absolutely the best means of collarless ID for most pets.

With a purchase of a Pet Tat’s ID you will receive an online pet record keeping membership. This membership includes unlimited access to update and store your pets files online. All pet record keeping services are (display 24 hr a day). This service is the best, low cost way to identify your pet in technologies day and age. Permanently or temporarily tattooing of your pet with our ID is safe and effective. However, alternative ID’s methods (like traditional printed tags) can also be purchased from us for those members who like using this unique online service and do not wish to tattoo their pets.

Will a permanent tattoo hurt my pet?

Unlikely – If it is done by a vet or one of our recommended and trained tattoo professionals, your animal will either be asleep through the application process or will be given topical skin numbing cream. Your pet should not feel pain for its tattoo. It is legal for an outside services to tattoo your pet, the animal is typically given topical numbing cream or a small sedative during the 3 to 8 min process while the permanent tattoo is administered by a professional. This procedure has little to no down time, and is generally painless. Permanent PETTATS are accurate, readable, and absolutely the best means of collarless ID for most pets.

You (the Pet Owner) may choose from a diverse selection of our animal ID’s in our online shop for your individual pet needs. You may absolutely buy a regular PETTATS ID tag with your pet’s unique number instead of a tattoo-able one. These tags can be worn on a collar and you can still enjoy the record keeping membership of this site! In addition, we have PETTATS ID rings/ bracelets for small animals as well.

What will I be getting with my purchase of a Pet Tat's ID?

When a customer purchases a pet identification, they will be signing up to become a member of our online record keeping site. Your pet will get their own individual ID number. We offer different types of ID options for your pet. Our customers can choose to display their animals unique identification code on their body by purchasing a tattoo-able ID number or a tangible ID tag that will display your animals code the old-fashioned way on a collar. In addition for smaller animals such as birds, lizards etc. We also offer temporary tattoo stickers and Ring like bracelet ID’s. Most of our ID packages come with a set of temporary PETTATS This way a variety of animals can use our site where owners can keep all their pet’s emergency information available online and store all their pet’s personal records as well, including medical records etc. We have made keeping track of your pet’s information convenient, easy, and all in one place!

As a new member your pet will receive it’s own online ID page that is connected to your pets physical number. You will always be in full control of your pet’s information on our site. It is available to you 24 hours a day! Even more important, you can rest easy knowing your pet’s emergency contact info will also be available to the public day and night, just in case your pet ever gets lost! As a Pet Tat’s member, you will have full access to create and change your pet’s emergency profile page whenever it is convenient for you. Our site allows you to upload or delete medical files, upload pictures, videos and any other information you see fit to help build your pet’s emergency profile. One advantage to being a member is that you control what the public sees and what you choose to display for your pet. So if you do not choose to put your full address etc., it is not required. Your pet’s membership has a special feature for private pet record keeping, which will allow you or your veterinarian to upload your pet’s medical files for you so that you may have easy access to them. These files will not be available to the public. If you choose to use this feature, you will be required to choose a special personal PIN number for security. This PIN number is to be given to your veterinarian’s office so they can access your files. As long as you are a current member of our site, all your pet’s records can be kept and accessed with us on pettats.com 24 hrs a day. After purchasing a pet ID, if you’ve chosen a tangible form of ID like a collar, you will need to allow for shipping! If you’ve chosen the permanent tattoo-able ID option with free record keeping service then you will need to make an appointment with a tattoo specialist to place your pet’s number on your animal’s body. In what States are Pet Tat's Service available?

We are an online company:

Anyone in any state can use our service if they have access to a computer! It does not matter which State you live in if you are buying an ID for your pet. However, at this time we are only contracted with Vets who have agreed to offer our permanent tattoo service in limited States. Currently, the only States RECOMMENDED for permanent tattoo administration is AZ – more states will be available soon. If you are in a different state than AZ and would like to find a tattoo professional for your pet, please call us and we will try to assist you.
