As an affiliate of Pet Tat’s Online Record Keeping & Identification Services your office will be required to allow us to place flyers and advertisement material in-office to help your existing and new customers learn about our ID services and products. You will also need to include a link to our site on your website and we will advertise you and your services on our website as well. With this program you are permitted but not required to offer application of  Pet Tat’s permanent identification tattoos in your offices. If you choose to offer our permanent PETTATS Skin Tattoos for your customer/ pets, then the cost of the tattoo application will be your responsibility including ink and numbing medication’s for each individual pet. Your office may charge a separate application tattoo fee to cover any costs. which will allow you the opportunity to monetize on this procedure as well. You may schedule all new patient appointments when they contact you at your own convenience to apply the animal’s tattooed ID number upon their bodies. You or your tattoo technician must tattoo the website and full ID number when applying our permanent tattoos.

ex: PETTATS.COM #AZ0093  (you may use capital or lowercase lettering, let the customer choose to stack it or include a design) all up to you! 

For the safety of the animals and for us to refer your practice however, you must make sure you always have a trained tattoo Technician applying the PETTATS tattoos. We will not take responsibility for any messed up tattoos! You may also choose to only offer Pet Tat’s tags or our temporary rub on ID options instead, if you are not comfortable administering permanent IDs at this time.

With this affiliate membership, when you log into our site you will  have special veterinarian access to customer records for individual pet owners that have signed up and are already using pettats recordkeeping services for their pets . however, each individual pet owner will need to create a special access code for you to have full access to update their private personal pet records. This access will also allow your office to communicate through the Pet Tat’s website with pet owners to help customers store and keep important medical records ,appointment reminders, certificates and more.

-For Permanent Tattoo application: If you have worked with animals a long time, you will be an expert with this procedure in no time!

 These are the steps: 

1. Clean the area with disinfectant and make sure you use gloves.
2. Assess the pet (using your medical knowledge) to make sure tattooing is the right choice for them.
3. Shave and clean the tattoo-able area well before starting.
4. Apply topical numbing cream.
5. Sedate the animal if needed. The animal will need to be still, a pet should not be moving around during this tattoo application. If an animal is uncooperative they may need sedation. Cost is Ideal if the animal is already under anesthesia for another procedure!
6. Make sure a trained technician is applying the tattoo and that they have checked to verify that they have the correct ID number to tattoo on the animal. Use stencil paper for accurate markings if necessary or your Tec/artist needs to. Also make sure that you have installed a new needle in the tattoo pin each time and have all clean tools. Your tattoo pen should always be cleaned before and after the procedure. Do not allow pen to overheat.
7.  When you sign-up with us you can choose to order the tattoo pin and also receive a Permanent PETTATS procedures video included.

Permanent tattoo training will be made available through us soon (for an additional fee) to request training please email us at askpettats@gmail.com or you may choose to subcontract the work out to a tattoo artist that will work under your supervision. Please Note , You will assume all responsibility for subcontractors that you choose to hire and all their work. Also Note,  If you chose to the affiliate package that includes the sign-up package with the tattoo pin and training video,  our offices will reach out to you to see if you would like to take advantage of any additional in person training classes that we will be offering soon.

Yes, you can sign up a pet owner online at any time as long as you have internet access. The customers can also sign up on their own devices to make it easier for everyone. However, the member must be the pet’s owner. The owner also needs to be present to purchase and set-up their pet’s record keeping accounts with their personal information such as email, billing etc. The pet owner themselves will need email access in order to retrieve their pets unique Identification code. This code is sent to the owners email after their purchase. So please walk them through the sign-up process and double check the pets ID numbers before attempting to tattoo.

Note: Any vet or veterinarian office may buy prepaid gift cards which will allow your patients to sign-up with pets at a later time. This can be used for up sale.

Extra note: We also sale collar ID tags on the site with the pet’s same info available on them. This is an alternative to tattooing if a pet owner still wants to use the online Pet Tat’s ID services without tattooing their pet..

When you sign-up with us, we will be advertising you on our site as an affiliate and you will have special access to customer’s records. Our pet Tat’s members have the option to upload their own and previous pet records in their private records box. If you are a member your pet owners who are also members can choose to allow you to upload new records for them as well. Please note in this case ( files can be changed by both you and the pet owner.) Our site is designed for keeping personal and medical records for all pets. When a new member makes an appointment, If they have a pet page already you’ll need to ask for the special pin # for their record entries. With this pin, you will have access to their pet records to update information for them about there pet, such as shot records etc. Now patient records can be uploaded and kept on our site as often as you wish, so your customers can have easy access to them through there Pet Tat’s dashboards. To access and change records on our site, you must sign up for the affiliate program and have received your admin login. Remember you will need the member’s special and private pin code for each pets private records. Please ask each client for their pin code and keep it privately on file at your office.

How to update a pet’s record file:

1. Log in on our site as a member

2. Search the pet’s ID # (both letters and numbers)

3. Update a record by choosing a pdf or picture file to insert into the records box. You may also delete a file in case you make a mistake. BUT- be extra mindful of what you delete, a file can not be retrieved if it has been deleted. someone would need to re-upload it again. Remember both you and the pet owner may see, add and delete the same files for a pet. Because of this, the pet owner will always receive an email each time you make a change in their pet’s records file. Please do not delete records without the owners permission!

4. After you have uploaded a file for a pet, you must enter the special pin# at the bottom and hit submit. If the pin is not correctly entered, you will not be able to change the records. If this happens, please contact the owner for the correct pin number.
